Competent help when you need it most
Sometimes life can hurt, get out of focus, become complicated, or feel chaotic
and out of control. It can even seem as if God is distant and faith is futile.

your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

are available to help you and your loved ones regain proper perspective and find
godly solutions to life's challenges.
Tips for selecting a counselor
A good first step is to meet with
your pastor and share some of the issues you are facing. He or she can assist
you in making some initial recommendations as to which counselor(s) might best
suit your needs.
When
meeting with a counselor for the first time, do not hesitate to ask them any
questions that come to mind. For example, feel free to ask them about their
faith and how they integrate Scripture into their practice. You want to be sure
that you and they share similar worldviews and that they respect your faith.
After
an initial meeting with any counselor, if you are uncomfortable and don't wish
to continue with them, that's okay. They will not be offended. Competent
counselors understand that a positive relationship between counselor and client
is essential for achieving a successful outcome.
